  2. Have a spotter wave the pedestrian through quickly so the truck can keep moving
  3. Sound the horn and continue, because the loading dock has priority over the sidewalk
  4. Stop and wait for the pedestrian to pass before you cross the sidewalk

A vehicle crossing a sidewalk to reach a driveway or loading dock must give way to anyone already walking on it, the same as a car pulling out of a private entrance. An alarm warns that the truck is moving, but it does not tell the pedestrian whose path was there first. Waving someone through faster or sounding the horn only pushes the risk onto the person on foot instead of removing it.
