Thirty five questions, and 28 correct to pass. It is the same test Class 2 and Class 3 applicants sit.
Restricted or unrestricted is decided at the road test, not here. Pass in a vehicle seating up to 10 including the driver and you get the restricted licence, pass in one seating 11 to 25 and you get the unrestricted one.
Restricted Class 4 is the minimum for a taxi, a limousine, ride hailing work or an ambulance.
You need a full Class 5 or 6 licence and two years of driving that were not spent as a learner.
A driving record with fewer than four penalty point incidents in two years, no driving related criminal convictions in three years and a commercial medical are part of it too.
Air brakes are a separate test and taxi work does not normally call for them.

The answer is C

A vehicle leaving the curb gives way to traffic already in the lane, and a signal asks for a gap rather than creating one. The shoulder check matters most here, because a cyclist or a motorcycle can sit exactly where the mirror does not show them. Pulling away gently also keeps the people in the back settled in their seats.

Can I take the ICBC knowledge test online?

Yes. Since June 9, 2026, ICBC lets you take the passenger vehicle (class 5 and 7) and motorcycle (class 6 and 8) knowledge tests online, on a computer with a webcam. You have up to 72 hours after registering to start, and 45 minutes to finish in a single session, and the $15 test fee is paid online. Passing does not hand you the licence: you still visit a driver licensing office, where you pay the licence fee separately.

How many questions are on the ICBC knowledge test?

Fifty, and you get 45 minutes to work through them. The timer is generous for the number of questions, so most people run out of certainty long before they run out of time.
