• The questions are multiple choice and they come in two or three parts, one on signs and the rest on motorcycles and the rules of the road.
• You need 80 percent across the whole test to pass.
• DriveTest does not publish how many questions the M1 test holds, so we do not put a number on it.
• A result stands for one year, and a retry inside that year repeats only the parts you did not clear.
• No earlier licence is needed. Being 16, living in Ontario and passing the eye test are what get you in the chair.
• If you are taking an approved motorcycle safety course the package does not apply, and you pay $16.00 for the knowledge test plus $9.00 for the 90 day licence.
