• Sixty questions, and 48 correct to pass. It is the longest knowledge test ICBC runs, and you get 75 minutes for it.
• Air brakes are built into it, so this one test covers both.
• The skip button is switched off on the combined Class 1 and air brake test.
• A road signs test sits alongside it at the learner stage. ICBC does not say whether those signs questions are counted inside the 60.
• There is no limit on attempts and no training you have to finish first, but Class 1 entry level training is required before you can be licensed.
• You need a full Class 5 or 6 licence, a clean enough driving record and a commercial medical.
• The commercial learner licence lasts a year, and renewing it means passing the knowledge test again.
