PEI Class 7 Instruction Driver's Permit test

The PEI learners permit test has no published numeric pass mark, and Access PEI and Highway Safety publishes no question count. The listed fee is $20. Every row carries the record it was read from and the date it was checked.

  • Take the test in person by appointment at Access PEI or through a licensed driver education school.
  • You must pass a written knowledge test and a separate signs test. The official pages do not say that the parts are scored separately or that only a failed part is rewritten.
  • An oral test is available if you cannot read the written test. The official pages do not state the written-test languages.
  • Bring valid ID and 2 documents proving PEI residency. Applicants under 18 need parental or guardian consent.
  • The vision test happens at Access PEI after the written exam and before the permit is issued.
