• Multiple choice, in two or three parts, marked on the spot and not timed. Around 30 minutes is what DriveTest says to expect.
• You need 80 percent across the whole test to pass.
• No question count is published for any Ontario commercial knowledge test, so we do not state one.
• You need a full G licence or higher before you can sit it.
• Mandatory entry level training has to be on your driving record before the road test, and the road test has to happen within a year of the knowledge test or you pay for the vision and knowledge tests again.
• The air brake Z test is a separate knowledge test with a practical test of its own.
